UPCOMING EVENTS:
- New People’s Class TODAY...at 11:30 am in the East Auditorium (during the 2nd Preaching Service).
- The Congregational Exam for Reed Taussig for eldership will be held TODAY at 1:00 in the main auditorium. Lunch will be served at 12:35 in the East Auditorium
- Thanksgiving Eve Worship: This Wed, Nov 23rd at 7:30 pm. Bring a dessert! Babysitting provided up to 2 yrs.
- Kid’s Church is TODAY during the Lord’s Supper (10:20—11:10) in the youth basement.
- Ladies! “Just for Christmas” Creative Home Night: Mon, Dec 5th, from 6:30-9pm. Sign-up begins TODAY in the foyer. Please join us for some great decorating and gift ideas!
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- Thanksgiving Meals: If you would like a place to go this year for fellowship and good food to celebrate Thanksgiving, please contact the office and we will help with the arrangements… we have families that would like to have some company!
- Camp Elim: Praise! The Lord has provided ALL the funds necessary for the land exchange!
- Glasses for Guatemala: Deposit your old prescription or reading glasses in the box in the ministries room by Nov 20th.
- Wycliffe Recycling Project: Donate your old cell phones in the marked box at the back of the ministries room. Questions: contact Bonnie Pletcher.
- Youth Worker Position: The office will be accepting applications (available in the office) and résumés through December.
- King Soopers Cards Reminder: Proceeds go into the Deacons Fund to help the needy. See Bill & Paula Leopold in the foyer.

- Christians live a life of exile (2:11a) “Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles…”
- Christians are to abstain from the passions of the flesh (2:11b) “I urge you…to abstain from the passions of the flesh…”
- Christians are in a battle for the health of their souls (2:11c) “…the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.”
- Christians are to display honorable public conduct (2:12a) “Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers…”
- Christians are to live evangelistically (2:12b) “they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.”
